Formally the National Chair for CIRP (Critical Incident Response) with the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) 2007-2019, Louise continues to consult with IFALPA and assists airlines around the world in developing their own CISM programs. Currently a First Officer with Frontier Airlines flying the A320/321, Louise was a captain with Mesa Airlines flying the ERJ 175, along with the CRJ 200/700/900 and Be1900. With over 30 years of grief experience, she continues to volunteer her time in her hometown of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, has been called upon to assist the community in dealing with tragedy and loss.
Louise is certified by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, Inc. to facilitate education and training as an Individual and Group Instructor with an Airline emphasis, Instructor Certification #2253.
Over the past 15 years, Louise has accomplished over 100 trainings, briefings and forums, and has trained thousands of peer-volunteer pilots, flight attendants, and aviation-related personnel globally, including FAA and NTSB. She currently provides initial and recurrent trainings for ALPA pilots, Association of America (Teamsters) pilots, SETP-Society of Experimental Test Pilots and helped Boeing Aircraft get off the ground with their own CISM program, assisting the needs of Boeing test pilots. She has always advocated that CIRP and Pilot Assistance should remain "non-political" when airline crews are in crisis.
Louise offers a variety of courses along with Group and Individual CISM classes tailored towards peer volunteers, her Listening skills and Grief trainings compliment the CISM course. As she often explains, "CIRP is the program and CISM is what we do."
Received 2016 SETP award "Friend of the Society" for her CIRP contributions and organization for the Test Pilot community.
